Commentary: The coat represents piety, the shield protects and is therefore an essential figure that appears whenever disease or natural disaster rules the day; the feather indicates the angelic, that state of being that connects the divine to the vital and the fallen, the boat is a kind of car that traverses the life-giving energies of water, so that here the vehicular prepares its transformation from a lesser mode to the sacred.
